2018 Planner Picks

Y'all!!  I CAN NOT believe that tomorrow we will be in 2018!  I mean where did 2017 go?!?!  I wasn't ready, but I have no choice.  So, because I'm trying to get my life together I had to get some planners to help keep me organized, and I'm going to share with you what planners I will be using in 2018 and what I will be using each one for.  Many of you know I'm a wife, homeschool mom, blogger, youtuber, and I love to knit.  I'm also a daughter, granddaughter, sister, friend, cousin, etc. So at times I can have a lot going on at once, and trying to keep track of everything, in my head just doesn't work, I guess I'm just getting old.  I can be on the phone with a friend, and she can tell me that we are invite to a party, by the time I hang up the phone with her I have totally forgotten, so that is the reason why I need planners to help  me keep my life in order.  Plus as most wives can relate, I am the "go to" person for everything!! Babe when do we have to be here, mommy when are we going to so and so party, babe do you remember when we have to go to this, and so on and so on.
So in the previous years I've tried to keep my  planner inventory at a two planners cap.  I had one for homeschool and then one for everything else.  The problem with that, is that having everything scheduled and planned in that one planner became confusing. So if my husband wanted to know when something at church was going on he had to read through a ton of other things, and he likes to just see what he needs and be done.  Therefore, for 2018 I've decided to go with five different planners I know it sounds crazy, because I used to think so myself, but the way I have it mapped out I feel like it's going to work just fine. I will be using a planner for homeschooling, my knitting projects,  my blog and YouTube channel, one for church, and then one for everything else in life like meal plans, doctor appointments, birthdays, etc.

I am using MAMBI's faith planner, grace upon grace, for my church planner.  This planner is so cute to me, I just love everything about it!  I take notes at church so I added the note pages, also by MAMBI, so that I can keep it all in one place.  Anything that we have going on that is church related I keep in this planner.

I do a lot of knitting projects for myself, my children, family, friends, and customers.  I have different due dates for these projects and certain patterns or yarn that I use for each one, so trying to remember it off the top of my head isn't easy, neither is writing it down on several different pieces of paper.  I told y'all I am trying to get my life in order, right?!?  That is why when I saw the Boye knitting planner, at my local craft store, I could not pass it up.  It's a 12 month planner, with year at a glance, monthly and weekly calendars, knitting glossary, project planning pages, and so much more.  It is perfect for the organization of my knitting projects.

My first year of homeschooling I tried many, many planners and none of them fit my needs.  I finally stumbled across the Mardel's A Simple Plan homeschool planner and I have been using it for the past three years.  Did you read what I said, three years?  It is the best homeschool planner ever!  It runs from July to June, has planning space for up to six children, monthly planning pages, weekly assignment planning, student records sheets, and a ton more!  I can't say it enough I love this planner!!

One of my goals for 2018 is to be more active here on my blog and also on my YouTube channel.  To help keep me on top of it, I picked up the MAMBI trendsetter deluxe edition planner.  Yes, another happy planner!  You can never go wrong with a happy planner.  The trendsetter planner is different than the other happy planners, because it does not have the weekly layouts, instead it has the month view and then it has a page behind each month for habit tracking, checklist, goals, etc.  It also has several to-do pages.

This is a great planner for goal tracking and just making sure I'm staying on top of things, which is why it is going to be the perfect fit for my blog and YouTube channel.

Last but not least my "catch everything else" planner, the I woke up like this mini happy planner.  This is my first time using a mini planner, but I love the small, compact size of it.  It fits perfectly in purse, therefore if I'm not at home and need to check a date so I don't over book anything, or if I need to schedule something I have it right there with me.  I keep it in the gold, mini, snap case so that the rings don't break while it is in my purse. It's starting to become my favorite, I think.

That's it!  Those are all the planners I'm bringing into the new year with me.  Do you use multiple planners?  Why or why not?  I love to here how you keep your life organized.

  1. I’ve never thought about having a separate planner just for church but that’s such a good idea! And I love the one you chose!
